Tool Library
New in v0.2.0 - Browse and use community-contributed open-source tools directly from the PegBoard app.
What is the Tool Library?
The Tool Library is a community-driven collection of automation tools for Blender, SketchUp, Rhino, and Revit. Instead of building tools from scratch, you can browse hundreds of ready-to-use tools created by the community, clone them to your workspace, and start using them immediately.
Using the Library
Accessing the Library
- Open the PegBoard app
- Click on the Library tab
- Browse available tools organized by software type
Cloning Tools
- Browse the library to find tools you need
- Click on a tool to view its details and description
- Clone the tool to add it to your local workspace
- The tool will now appear in your workspace and in the corresponding software loader (Blender, SketchUp, etc.)
Using Cloned Tools
Once cloned, tools work exactly like your own tools:
- They appear in the software loaders (Blender addon, SketchUp extension, etc.)
- You can run them with one click
- You can edit and customize them to fit your needs
- Changes are saved locally in your workspace
Contributing to the Library
Have a tool that others might find useful? Share it with the community!
The PegBoard Tool Library is open source and hosted on GitHub. When you contribute a tool, you help other designers be more productive, build your portfolio, and get feedback from the community.
All tools in the library are MIT licensed, so anyone can use, modify, and distribute them freely.
Ready to contribute? See the Developer Guide for technical details on how to submit your tools.
